About Us

Hunger No More of the Midlands was formed by a group of like-minded people who are answering their communities needsfor Produce grown harvested and distributed free of charge to those who ask. The founders use their talents and resources to provide these goods directly and through partner agencies. Hunger No More of the Midlands is a non-profit 501c3.

In February 2019, Hunger No More of the Midlands originated as Lexington Community Garden, as a part of Central Carolina Community Foundation’s “Engaging Communities” Grant. Beginning with less than one acre and now having grown to 6.17 acres with a storage building and greenhouse.  Charles Tyler, a retired Palmetto Automatic Sprinkler employee of 42 years, and his sisters were the backbone of LCG’s first year, along with many friends and family.  We were thrilled to team up with farming expert, Azmi Jebali in Summer 2020.

The past three years it has been the vision of Hunger No More of the Midlands, to provide fresh produce and food education for our underserved neighbors who otherwise may not have access to healthy food choices.

The organizations and activities we have been involved with since inception include:
